Music and pop culture blog, Popdust, has nabbed an exclusive interview with Gaga, where she talks about the current state of pop music, Amy Winehouse and being emotionally thin. Click here to check it out!
Thanks propagaga for posting this interview. Gaga’s answer that she uses all aspects of her art as a palette really hit home. When I was driving home late at night after visiting a friend, I felt very lonely all of a sudden. Then I played Gaga’s BTW in the car and I suddenly felt comforted by her voice, even though it was HML, LOL. Hearing her voice connected to me to not only the music, but all of her wonderful performances, all the effort she puts into pleasing her little monsters, her work as an activist, her fashion, her artistic vision, her humor, her many kindnesses, and I felt at home and no longer lonely. So it’s not just the music that’s important, but what she stands for, and that was very soothing on my ride home. I pray she keeps making music and her art for decades to come, regardless of whether she is #1 or not as she gives me solace.
