Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning and confirmed “2011 MTV Video Music Awards” performer Lady Gaga will appear LIVE on Thursday, August 18th at 7:49pm ET to make a #VMA announcement and tease her new VMA promo simultaneously on MTV and Logo during “MTV First: Lady Gaga.” In addition, she will introduce her new music video “Yoü and I” for its television premiere and respond to feedback from fans with her and online. Immediately following the on-air portion, Gaga will stay on for an exclusive LIVE interview and interactive Q&A session with MTV News’ Sway Calloway on MTV.com. Fans can submit questions beginning today through MTV.com and Twitter (using @MTVNews / hash-tag #MTVGAGA).

Lady Gaga’s new VMA promo will premiere in its entirety later that night on MTV during “Jersey Shore” at 10pm ET/PT.

Lady Gaga joins previously announced 2011 VMA performers including Adele, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Young The Giant. The “2011 MTV Video Music Awards” will air live from Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.) MTV will announce additional performers and presenters on a later date.

“Yoü and I” is the fourth single to be released from Lady Gaga’s third studio album, Born This Way. In addition to performing, Lady Gaga is nominated for four Moonmen at the “2011 MTV Video Music Awards,” including Best Female Video (“Born This Way”), Best Art Direction (“Judas”), Best Choreography (“Judas”) and Best Video with a Message (“Born This Way”).

Check out the highly anticipated clip for “Yoü and I”, which premiered on Lady Gaga’s Youtube channel Tuesday afternoon, shortly following the leak of some video stills. The music video will make it’s television debut Thursday at 7:49pm ET on MTV. Following the premiere, Lady Gaga will answer fan questions live from New York and make a surprise announcement. Lady Gaga will be releasing her music video for “Yoü and I” early, after a series of screen caps from the highly anticipated clip surfaced online Tuesday afternoon. The announcement was made shortly after Gaga tweeted angrily about images from the video leaking. The Haus of Gaga directed video was set to premiere this Thursday on MTV, followed by a live fan Q&A and special announcement from Gaga.
